Join the Time to Talk Team at Newbury Racecourse to help raise vital funds to support young people and families in West Berkshire.
Time to Talk invites you to be part of an exciting new event at Newbury Racecourse. Put on your running shoes, join our team at this iconic location, and let’s raise funds to deliver emotional and psychological support in our community.
About Time to Talk:
Our mission is to provide an emotional and psychological wellbeing support service for young people aged 11-25 and parents. This is delivered through quality-controlled counselling, a supported online programme and community outreach activities. This service is free at the point of delivery and helps our clients deal with their specific challenges in a sustainable and confidential way.
Counselling:
Young people and parents can refer themselves for counselling with us. Counselling is a confidential conversation with a trained professional who helps individuals understand themselves and their experiences better, and then find personal ways forward that work for them.
Sessions are with the same counsellor at the same time each week, for up to 12 weeks. Sessions can be delivered face to face, via telephone, or online over Teams.
Supported Online Programme
We provide an online platform which uses CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) tools to address unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. Modules are available for parents of anxious children and young people struggling with anxiety or low mood.
In 2024/25 we:
– Saw 700 young people and parents in counselling
– Delivered over 7000 counselling sessions
– Helped over 100 people via our Supported Online Programme
– Worked tirelessly to raise awareness of mental health across West Berkshire
